Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Leadership Seal
In January 2023, the State Bar of California launched the DEI Leadership Seal program to recognize employers who commit to and implement initiatives to advance DEI in their workplaces. Employers must commit to implementing at least 5 of the 10 action items below. Employers that have already implemented action items are recognized by the State Bar as DEI Leadership Seal recipients and are as listed below. Understanding that DEI work continues to evolve, in future years the list of action items will change and become more ambitious, and additional benefits for DEI Leadership Seal recipients will be added.
The DEI Leadership Seal is available to all employers with California attorneys, including law firms, in-house legal departments, legal academia, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies with attorney staff.
